Performer Thoughts
It is very important to know that when you work with or for The Iron Cabaret that you know as a performer you will be taken care of. Here is what other performers have said about their experience working with us.

The Iron Cabaret is a production company dedicated to supporting local performers. They create opportunities for performers of all kinds, especially pole, aerial and circus performers who are sometimes limited by access to appropriate spaces (spaces big enough to accomodate their equipment) or access to the equipment itself, which can be very expensive. And not to mention, these opportunities are PAID, as they should be. Their shows are also shamelessly sex-positive, welcoming sexy, sensual, erotic and risqué performers and their acts, including myself. From the beginning, the Iron Cabaret has been open and transparent, especially about finances, operation and organization, and even about past missteps and the associated rectifying actions. This transparency is commendable, and creates a sense of trust; it's really what we should be seeing in all performance spaces, in my opinion. Beyond that, they go to tremendous efforts to support the community. They donate funds to charities and organizations important to their community members. They give space to local vendors at their shows. They invest back into the performers through their Performer Bursary program. And they consistently use their platform to promote other events in support of their community members. Sometimes it's hard to believe that all of this has been brought to fruition by one couple - Sam and Martin -, and the supportive community that they've helped foster over the past two years (and all while raising a child, no less!).
Overall, as a performer working with the Iron Cabaret, I felt respected, valued, and that my art and myself as a person were appreciated. As someone who enjoys to perform in an unapologetically and overtly sexual style, especially as a trans man, sometimes I worry that I will be asked to "tone it down," but that was definitely not the case here. On top of that, not only is everyone being paid, but we're being paid fairly and adeuqately. Sam and Martin are kind and welcoming, and genuinely want everyone to feel both accomplished and comfortable. They welcome honest feedback, and I felt like I could talk to them without judgement. It's very clear that they just want to keep doing better and being better for the community. Thank you, Sam and Martin!

It was a great opportunity for me to work with them. Everyone is included and you have "carte blanche" for your creation. I recommand 😊

Iron Cabaret was fantastic to work with. They were mindful of performers personal barriers and did their best to accommodate everyone. I never felt pressured or uncomfortable to put the show above my own physical or mental health. I think they also did a great job of curating the show and showcasing so many different types of talents.

We can only recommend working with Iron Cabaret, the energy and professionalism from everyone involved made the production flow smoothly. They have perfect transparency and treat performers well, they encourage and embody diversity through their cast, it's a show you can be proud of to be part of.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with Iron Cabaret productions! Sam and Martin are extremely professional, responsive, and caring in their approach to producing shows. They created a supportive environment for performers and crew alike and fostered a fun energy backstage while still running a tight ship. I felt respected, valued, and supported for the entire run of the show, and I always felt like they were open to feedback at every turn. I also love their commitment to giving back to the community, supporting great causes, and compensating artists and crew fairly for their work. I would highly recommend working with them! And can't wait for my next opportunity to work with them again.
Great! First and I hope not the last. Producers ans crew were very professional and gave clear directives. I liked the safety briefing before any shows so we know what to expect.
I’ve worked with the Iron Cabaret several times now and always have a wonderful experience. They are transparent, inclusive, and supportive. They go out of their way for their performers and make the whole experience so much fun!

This was my first time on stage and the Iron Cabaret was nothing but encouraging and welcoming at every turn. They never failed to prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone on the show and always went the extra mile to make sure the experience was smooth, inclusive, and all-around positive for all involved.
Working for this production has been such a privilege for me. They are incredibly professional, kind, considerate, inclusive, and are always working to improve themselves all around. As a bipoc performer, I am always touched by the extent they go to self educate and show up as allies for any and all marginalized communities. They are also incredibly generous and always give back to the community any chance that they get!
